Tech Forum
The Tech Forum took place over two days, February 10-11, with 450 attendees representing a nearly 50/50 split between business and technology attendees. The split aligns perfectly with the MAG’s strategic goal of having a forum that brings together the voices of both the tech and business audiences. Having both audiences together led to great dialogue on relevant technology topics such as the current challenges tied to payment rules and requirements.
We were impressed by the many merchant companies that sent four or more people to the event. This speaks volumes to the relevancy of our content and value, and we thank you for your support!
To enhance our virtual offering, we launched MAG Connect – a networking platform that allowed attendees to make connections and receive connection recommendations in advance of the conference. In the portal, attendees could host and attend meetings to foster relationship building.
No conference would be complete without some fun and entertainment, and we delivered that for our attendees! Participants had the option to focus on career development by attending Level Up Your LinkedIn Profile with Brand Strategy Coach Courtney Stanley or to enjoy the high-energy antics of Felix & Fingers: An Interactive Dueling Piano Show.
Mid-Year Conference
The Mid-Year Conference took place February 23-25 and hosted more than 600 merchants and sponsors. Engaging and relevant content provided attendees with key takeaways ready for immediate deployment in their company initiatives.
On day one, we introduced our inaugural Product Showcase, which put the spotlight on offerings from approximately 30 selected sponsors showcasing their products and services to assist merchants in addressing the industry’s most pressing issues.
We urged our attendees to get up and get moving by kicking off days one and three of the conference with great physical workout sessions: an energizing Tabata H.I.I.T workout and a more relaxing yoga session.
Day two began with a phenomenal panel, Young Professionals – Women Leaders in Payments and Beyond, featuring nine powerful women sharing their perspectives on career growth, balance and their personal journeys.
We ended the second day with Nothing is as it Seems – an incredible experience of magic and mind-reading performed by Rmax Goodwin, Mentalist / Magician.
Mid-Year Conference closed with our Merchant Only Day featuring a novel new panel: Merchants Unleashed. Merchant members participated in an unfiltered discussion about the direction of the payments industry.
Registered attendees continue to have access to conference sessions and exhibits in the virtual platform through March 26, 2021, using their conference credentials. Merchant Members can also access the sessions by logging into the MAG Learning Center; and MAG login credentials are required. Please contact MAG if you need assistance with access.
